What makes the LET IT BE CHRISTMAS experience so unique, is the unexpected combination of two very familiar elements - the classic music of the Beatles, and the timeless story of the Nativity. When put together they collide in your brain creating a brand new landscape on which to tell an ancient but ever relevant and desperately needed story. The whole earth receives her King of Glory in the dank humility of a stable. God arrives to a world badly in need of a Saviour.
Our two showings this year - December 23 and December 24 - left room for more people than ever to engage in the experience and celebrate by candlelight as images, Scripture and music were woven together seamlessly. The intergenerational cast brought their best performance, for sure. But even more exciting is knowing the stories of each one, and how lives have been transformation by personal encounters with the baby Jesus who turned out to be Almighty God.
For so many reasons, it is a great gift to Highview to have our Music and Media Director, Derek Goupil do what he does among us. We are so grateful for the leadership and creative genuis that he brought to this project, and for how he is able to bring out the best in those of us who get to work with him.
For everyone at Highview who invited a friend - way to
go! That's what it's all about. You were like the Shepherds. This is too big a secret to keep to ourselves.And to God who did the unthinkable by coming to earth to put skin on - we are unspeakably grateful. We hope You liked our party.
